We invite you on a special journey full of beauty, magic and utility: the Children’s Medicine Wheel!
Imagine what it would be like to go to a different kind of School, where we learn through play, practical and magical experiences, where we discover that everything that exists consists of Energy, from rivers to mountains and stars, from thoughts and words, until our dreams.
Would you like to become a “Shapeshifter”, to feel what it’s like to be in the body of a Jaguar that sniffs the trail of its prey? Or to drink through the Hummingbird’s beak from the nectar of a flower? And how does the earth look through the eyes of the Eagle, the king of the air? And if you discovered that Nature speaks – the trees, the winds, the stars, they all tell a story – would you like to talk to them too?… Or learn to read the stones, the great guardians of Mother Earth, discovering the girls and their stories hidden?…
How would it be to learn about the 7 chakras, the eyes of Light that help us be healthy and in harmony? And how can they be cleaned, so that they shine in the colors of the rainbow? And how would it be to create a Mesa, the shaman’s magic kit, which contains the healing stones and with which you can perform ceremonies, helping your loved ones, even your pets, to feel good.
You imagine how you would feel if you could dance your emotions – joy. anger, sadness, and if you express yourself peacefully in difficult situations, contributing to a harmonious solution.
At School of the Wheel we love art: we dance, impersonating our favorite characters; we draw freely, each as he feels, creating together brilliant Collages with our Dreams, and discover the world of stories, which teach us that we are all Heroes.
And we will do all these together: the ceremonies, the games, the drawings – and also Despacho – a bright fabric from our dreams, the most beautiful, sweet and sparkling Thanksgiving offering in the world!
Along the Wheel we learn to work with our personal, ancestral and karmic past, healing the timelines. We identify the masks we wear when we want to integrate on the stage of life and learn to go consciously and without suffering through the transitions of human existence.
For parents:
Beyond time and space, race and the culture of a society, there is something that all children love: magic, authenticity, play, joy, creativity, exploring essential questions about life, friendship and belonging.
The Medicine Wheel summarizes the essence of energetic, psychic, emotional and physical processes that were transmitted orally by generations of sages from the Inca tradition. Adapted for children, they will be transmitted to them in an interactive way, abundant in practical experiences, meditations and games. What we want is to support children in taking the first steps in working with Energy, developing a regular spiritual practice, expanding and strengthening their Imagination – all this in a Circle that will bring them stability, balance and growth, where everyone can BE and share their gifts.
One of the essential things that children will learn is how they can bring balance and peace to all planes of being, by working with the Archetypes of this tradition: the Snake, which represents the physical body, the Jaguar – the mental-emotional body, the Hummingbird – the soul body, and the Eagle – the energy body. The archetypes are also the ones that structure the Wheel in 4 modules, within which we mainly work with the specific energy, capacities and strength of each one.
From our experience with children, we have noticed that the shamanic thing comes to them absolutely naturally and naturally, it enchants and fascinates them, addressing that innocent, wild and wise part of them that KNOWS that we are Energy, that we are extraordinary and we can create whatever we want! On a practical level, children will have the opportunity to solve concrete problems on a physical, mental-emotional and spiritual level, and to develop their confidence, courage, and skills of expression and communication.
The drawing on the flyer was created by Ioana, the first 9-year-old student, who, together with her brother Alex, participated for 3 years in the Medicine Wheel!
The invitation to the Wheel and the drawing with the Hummingbird are created by Anastasia, 8 years old, a graduate of the Wheel for adults in 2022.
The Medicine Wheel is structured in 4 modules – South, West, North and East. Each module will last from Friday, from 4:00 p.m., to Sunday, at 1:30 p.m. Children will come with their parents, who will have most of the day off, joining us at meals and ceremonies.
We recommend the participation of children between 7 and 14 years old.
The Children’s Wheel will take place this year in the form of monthly workshops, in which the Children will learn energy work practices and receive Initiations in wonderful ceremonies. In the garden we will work on the earth, play and hold the Fire Ceremony.
Also, to motivate and support the Children in their practice, weekly online practice meetings will be offered.
